New panel just added: Almost without exception these efforts are met with threats, intimidation, and often the firing of workers. Employers routinely hire law firms and outside agents to create a climate of fear and hostility workplace when workers choose to organize. How can labor, and its community allies, confront these illegal practices and insure that workers have a voice at work.

Tikkun Community Comes to the Forum
"Tikkun" means to mend, heal, and transform - the world and ourselves. The Tikkun Community will offer a vision of this transformation in a series of BSF plenaries and workshops. Co-chair Rabbi Michael Lerner, editor of TIKKUN magazine, will speak on "Reaching Americans through a Progressive Spiritual Politics," and "Healing Israel/Palestine".

Film Series Features "The Corporation"
Before & during the BSF, the film series will screen progressive films made locally and throughout the world. "The Corporation," "Peace, Propaganda & the Promised Land," and "A Panther in Africa" are a few examples of films that will cover topics as broad as the forum itself. For showings at MFA, Coolidge Corner Theatre, The Milky Way, The Brattle Theater and 38 Cameron during June & July, go to the BSF Film Festival Page.
